My research experiences provide an excellent foundation in the fields of behavioral neuroscience, immunology, nutrition, and epidemiology. As a behavioral neuroscientist, I work primarily with rodent models to test hypotheses related to neurodevelopment and behavior. A long-term goal of my research program is to gain an understanding of how perturbations to the perinatal environment may alter neurodevelopment, specifically focusing on the relationship between immune dysregulation and risk of autism spectrum disorders.
